The transition is complete when the internal team can explain why the model works, operate it under normal pressure, and change it without waiting for permission from its designers. Documentation supports that confidence; it cannot create it on its own.
The Handover Starts in Week One
A final handover session cannot transfer months of context. By then, the reasoning behind the work has often been compressed into templates and slides, while the client team has had little chance to practise the decisions it will soon own.
Durable consulting work builds ownership throughout delivery. Client colleagues take part in the analysis, challenge the design, run the routines, and improve the materials before the engagement closes.
